IEPTC (International Energy Professional Training Center) was founded to solve a simple but frustrating problem:
IEPTC was created to fill that need.
As practicing technical authorities working in operations, maintenance, projects and engineering roles, we know that most training out there is either too generic or too academic to be useful on the ground. That’s why we design training courses that are concise, relevant, and built around the real problems professionals face in the field. Our offerings range from:
At IEPTC, we design courses that are concise, relevant, and rooted in real-world industry challenges. Our offerings include:
We’re building a global platform where practical upskilling actually means something, a place where you can:
Our vision is to help engineers, inspectors, technicians, and cross-functional professionals grow with the exact knowledge they need to thrive in real companies.
At IEPTC, we aim to do things differently:
Matthew Monzon
Pressure Systems Technical Authority
Matthew is a certified specialist in pressure vessels, piping, corrosion, and inspection—holding credentials from API (510, 570, 571, SIFE), ICorr, and international technical programs, and is registered with the UK Engineering Council. He serves as the Mechanical Static Technical Authority for pressure systems in one of the region’s most demanding offshore gas facilities, where he oversees the integrity and reliability of static equipment under high-pressure and sour service conditions.
His experience spans advanced Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments, failure investigations, and high-impact technical decisions that have directly influenced plant uptime and cost avoidance. At IEPTC, he brings a focus on clarity, practicality, and real-world problem-solving, turning standards and theory into knowledge that actually applies at work.
Bon Jovi Matacsil
Rotating Equipment Technical Authority
Bon Jovi is a Rotating Equipment Technical Authority and a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and an authority in rotating machinery, asset reliability, and operations excellence. He holds credentials such as VA-II, MLE, and has led major initiatives in improving equipment uptime, condition monitoring programs, and root cause failure analysis.
As a recognized voice in his space, he bridges data, design, and field realities to deliver practical solutions for asset-intensive operations. At IEPTC, his focus is on reliability-centered training that reflects actual plant conditions, giving professionals the tools to make confident, informed decisions.
Karl Louis Fortich
NDE Inspection & Corrosion Control Specialist
Karl is a seasoned corrosion inspection professional and a certified Coating Inspector, Corrosion Technologist, CP Tester with AMPP and member of TWI with extensive experience in NDE program development, inspection planning, welding engineering and corrosion mitigation strategies across oil and gas assets. He is deeply familiar with international standards and has handled both topside and subsea inspection scopes, including turnaround management and RBI implementation.
His strength lies in translating inspection findings into actionable recommendations, grounded in risk and performance priorities. At IEPTC, Karl’s courses are built around corrosion control, real inspection workflows, with an emphasis on quality assurance and operational relevance.
Juan Gabriel Gamboa
Reliability and Asset Life Extension Specialist
Gabriel leads asset reliability, life extension and continuous improvement initiatives for mature offshore platforms, overseeing a team of engineers and cross-functional specialists. As the premiere Asset Reliability Focal and now Project Manager for life extension efforts, he integrates inspection data, equipment history, and reliability modeling to extend safe operational life, and has deep expertise and experience in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
His work has enabled strategic decisions on repair, replace, or retire—while balancing integrity, production, and investment. At IEPTC, Gabriel delivers reliability and lifecycle training grounded in field application, offering clear strategies for engineers responsible for keeping aging assets running safely and profitably.
